How to play: Picture Puzzles
This guide explains everything you need to know to play the game.
Overview
You solve a sliding picture puzzle each day. The puzzle is one of Pip Lenson’s photographs, split into tiles, showing one of the creatures from the world. Your goal is to slide the tiles in the correct order to reveal the full picture.

Getting Started
First Time Playing
When you play for the first time, you’ll see a short introduction from the characters. Tap or click to continue through the dialogue. When you’re ready, you’ll be asked to choose your difficulty.

Choosing a Difficulty
Before each puzzle, you choose how challenging you want it to be:
| Difficulty | Description | Gold Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | Fewer tiles, quicker to solve | 30 Gold |
| Medium | A balanced challenge | 50 Gold |
| Hard | More tiles, greater challenge | 100 Gold |
Harder puzzles are worth more Gold. Pick the option that suits you - you can change difficulty at any time!

Solving the Puzzle
How It Works
The image is divided into a grid of tiles, with one empty space. Tiles can only move into the empty space if they are directly next to it (above, below, left, or right).
- Tap or click a tile that is next to the empty space to slide it into that space
- Keep sliding tiles until the picture is complete
- The puzzle is solved when all tiles are in the correct order

Tips
- Plan a few moves ahead - sometimes moving one tile blocks another
- Work on one section at a time (e.g. the top row, then the next row)
- The empty space must “travel” to where you need to move a tile
Stuck? Try an Easier Puzzle
If you’ve been working on a puzzle for a long time, the game may offer you the chance to try an easier difficulty. You can either:
- Yes, let’s try another difficulty - Return to the difficulty selection and start a new, easier puzzle
- No, I can finish this - Keep going with your current puzzle

After Completing a Puzzle
When you solve the puzzle, you’ll see:
- The creature - The full revealed image and its name
- A description - Learn about the creature and which biome it lives in
- Your stats - How many moves you took and how long it took
- Your Gold reward - Earned based on the difficulty you chose

Daily Play
You can play one puzzle per day. When you’ve used your daily play, you can explore other games.
Your daily play resets at midnight.
