The Fenback Beast is a massive and ancient predator, a creature that seems as though it has existed in the swamp for longer than anyone can remember. Covered in thick layers of moss and algae, its form blends almost perfectly with the murky waters, making it nearly impossible to detect until it chooses to reveal itself.

Despite its size, the Fenback Beast is a patient hunter. It spends long stretches of time submerged or partially hidden, allowing the environment to settle around it. Birds may land on its back, plants may grow across its hide - none of it disturbs the stillness it relies upon.

It becomes most active at dusk, when the light fades and visibility drops. At this time, the Fenback Beast begins to move, wading silently through deeper waters with surprising ease. Its powerful legs allow it to navigate terrain that would trap or slow other creatures, giving it a distinct advantage when hunting.
